Shnaider bought Jordan Grand Prix from Eddie Jordan in February 2005 for approximately USD $50 million, and renamed it Midland F1 Racing for the 2006 Formula One season.
In the August 2004, it was announced that Dallara and his team were signed by Alex Shnaider to build a chassis for the erstwhile Jordan team, Midland.
The team was created by the renaming of Jordan Grand Prix after its purchase by Canadian businessman, and owner of the Midland Group, Alex Shnaider.
However, team owner Alex Shnaider would soon become frustrated with the vagaries of being a tail-ending team, and sold it to Spyker Cars just before the Italian GP.
