Alfred Dundas Taylor

Alfred Dundas Taylor was born August 30, 1825 in England, son of George Ledwell Taylor (1788–1873), a civil architect to the Admiralty in the UK.

He retired as Commander of the Indian Navy and died in England in 1898.

Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project

Conceived as early as 1860 by Alfred Dundas Taylor, it recently received approval of the Indian government, which plans to break the limestone shoals of Adam's Bridge as part of this project.
