His tomb is in the Cathedral of St. Stephen in Vienna.

During the siege of Vienna by the Turks in 1683 he commanded the company formed of students as chief sergeant-major.

He practiced as a physician in Rome, Cologne, and Arnhem, and in August, 1652, was made a member of the medical faculty of the University of Vienna.
