Out of True is the fourth studio album by British band The Nightingales.

The rest of the tracks on the album were written by frontman Robert Lloyd with various members of the past and present lineups of The Nightingales.
After several line up changes since reforming, the group line-up settled as Robert Lloyd (vocals), Alan Apperley (guitar), ex-Pram drummer Daren Garratt, "teenage guitar sensation" Matt Wood, and Stephen 'The Night' Lowe (bass).
Moore played drums on the 1999 L.P. Free Surf Music #1 by Alan Jenkins and The Thurston Lava Tube, drummed for The Nightingales for a while, and in 2005 formed the duo Dragon or Emperor with occasional VtB collaborator Stewart Brackley.
