Following digital switchover in the south on 7 March 2012, the Whitehawk transmitter in Brighton transferred from the BBC South region to BBC South East.
The Community Centre, along with a new library, including a toy library for children was opened by Princess Alexandra in November 1973 in Whitehawk Road.

The 2006–07 season saw a modest League placing, but had another RUR Cup Final Success vs Whitehawk The club's name reverted to Chichester City in 2009.
